Our Mission

Mars Agriculture is building an AI-powered precision fertilization system that combines drone imaging and soil sensors to help farms and ranches cut waste, lower costs, and improve yields.

About Mars Agriculture

Fertilizer is one of the largest line items in modern farming, yet much of it is still applied using broad averages and static assumptions.

Fields are not uniform. Soil conditions vary acre by acre, and they change over time.

The result:

  • Nutrients that never reach the plant

  • Overapplication in some zones, underperformance in others

  • Runoff, regulatory pressure, and tighter margins

  • Limited visibility below the soil surface

Modern agriculture still lacks a continuous, data-driven system that measures, decides, and acts in real time.

Until that changes, waste is built into the process.

A simple idea: match nutrients to what the plant and soil actually need.

We’re building a system that looks at both:

  • Above the ground: drone imaging to see plant health and stress

  • Below the ground: soil sensors tracking moisture and key nutrient levels

An AI model then turns that data into a field-by-field, zone-by-zone fertilization plan, and an autonomous drone applies exactly what’s needed, where it’s need

How It Works (Pilot Version)

Step 1 – Install & Map

We place a small number of soil sensors in key zones and fly the field with a multispectral drone to create a baseline map of plant and soil conditions.

Step 2 – Analyze

Our model combines sensor readings, field imagery, and basic management data (crop, timing, past applications) to score nutrient demand across the f

Step 2 – Analyze

Our model combines sensor readings, field imagery, and basic management data (crop, timing, past applications) to score nutrient demand across the field.

Step 3 – Apply

A spray drone is loaded with the correct mix and flies a targeted route, treating high-need zones instead of blanket-spraying every acre.

Notes

We’re currently in early development and looking for a small group of partner farms and ranches to help test and refine this system.
